What cars have V12 engines?

Postby natius » Tue Jan 17, 2012 9:32 pm

I'm looking for a real fast car.
Jaguars use to make V12 engines, but not the new ones.
I'm looking for a good looking car with a V12 engine.
But not something totally expensive like an aston martin or something.
I want a used car for under 20,000

How about a VW Phaeton with a W12 engine (same engine as a Bentley)

Nothing, unless you get a REALLY REALLY old one.. but you don't wana do that, it would be rittled with problems.
Really fast cars for under 20,000... your looking at Subaru WRX STI, Used Supra's, Older Mustangs, Camaro's, Firebirds, Neon SRT-4, Audi A4, A6,.. get an older muscle car all done up. used corvette even!
There are a TON of cars with V8 or turbocharged small displacement engines that put up speeds every bit as good as some of the expensive V12s.
Audi R8 is a good example. (mind you the V10 version is outstanding)
Corvette is another good example, the Z06 can stick with a lambo... what more do you want right?

probably the cheapest used car you could find with a V12 would be a Jaguar XJ-S or XJ12, but keep plenty of money in reserve for repairs/maintenance.

Maybe an older BMW 850i - gorgeous car but also expensive to maintain, as will that VW Phaeton someone posted a link to. That's a sedan, not a coupe, and technically not a V12, it's a W12, but close enough.

Anything recent will be well over 20K, although that Phaeton does seem pretty cheap if it has all the service records.
