Both are very high performance machines. One is a 5-series 4 door and the other is a 3-series two door by base. Ether way, as a male, I'm not sure which would be "better" for a woman. Yes, the M3 has a convertible option, but the M5 is more practical if you have kids or frequently need extra room. A new M5 is about $30k more than an M3. Both cars can be purchased with a DKT (most people consider these automatics because they're controlled like one even tho they aren't by nature), so ether one would be about as practical for driving everyday. Compare your pro's and con's- what do you like/dislike about the M3/M5? You need to test drive both and explore both options. They're both equally ranked for simplicity/complexity of operation. I see more women in an M3 than an M5 because it's "cuter" and has the drop-top option. But the M5 is a hell of a car to put the kids in. Ether way, check them out in person and you'll have your answer.
