The driver flicks a handle/bar on the RIGHT of the steering wheel and increases gear, flicks a handle on the LEFT of the steering wheel and decreases gear. Its mostly found in sports cars like lamborghini , aston martin, ...

I believe you are referring to semi-automatic transmission, also known as clutch-less manual transmission, automated manual transmission, flappy-paddle gearbox or paddle shift gearbox. It is a system which uses electronic sensors, processors and actuators to execute gear shifts on the command of the driver.
