`68 Dodge Rambler (about 8 mpg. but only .35 per gallon for gas)

My uncle, as a favor for me, got me a 1967 Buick Riviera that he bought for $200 from a co-worker who barely drove it. That car was such a pile of problems (like a leaking gas tank!) that I dubbed it Anthrax. Fortunately, the engine crapped out on me and it was dragged away. (All of this happened in 1974).

MY first lemon was my first car, which I got right after I graduated high school in 1976, it was a '71 Chevy VEGA.

It was a lot of fun to drive when it was running right, trouble is, that was hardly ever.

A VW Rabbit. It was canary yellow, too, with black interior, 1600 cc, and I loved it. We did so many things together, I wished there was a camera above us, on a helicopter, to film all those crazy things we did. All of my colleagues at the University had VW Rabbits, and we raced every day in the streets of Boston.. I also had a nice thunderous Yamaha Hi Fi system installed, with a powerful amplifier and speakers, the most vociferous Rabbit ever been!
