Sequential Fuel Injection. It will shut 2 cylinders off when you aren't using them saves gas.

Answer:

SFI (Sequential Fuel Injection) also called as SEFI( Sequential Electronic Fuel Injection) . Unlike the Multi Point fuel injection (MPFI) system, SEFI has separate fuel injectors for each cylinder which inject fuel more precisely increasing the fuel efficiency

SFI stands for Sequential Fuel Injection or sometimes known as Fuel Stratified Injection.

This is basically the standard type of fuel injection for most vehicles. It consists of an individual fuel injector that provides fuel for each cylinder separately, and as needed.

This, as opposed to TBI or Throttle Body Injection which is essentially a carburetor type system where the fuel in injected into the throttle body.

SFI is definitely superior in both performance and fuel economy.
