I am looking at buying a 2010 Chevrolet Camaro SS with a six speed manual transmission. However, i don't know how to shift to reverse in the car. Anyone know?
chevyraceman_383- i have always had a manual just only used 5 speed manual. I know the pattern but it won't go farther right than fifth and sixth. For example, Volkswagon, makes their transmissions to where you have to push the stick straight down to access reverse. My question is, does chevy do anything like this.

If you don't know that, then you really don't need a manual transmission camaro

R is all the way over to the right and up. Std. H pattern

1 is up and to the left, 2 is down, 3 is over and up, 4 is down, 5 is over and up, 6 is down, R is over and up

A friend of mine had a newer 6-speed Caviler, and I was out there for a good five to ten minutes until I had to ask him how to reverse. On his there was a plate below the knob that you pulled up on before it would let you shift into reverse.
