I have a 2006 subaru wrx. im trying to find a good cold air intake for the car that will produce good power gains. what are some good brands to look into? and do i need a tune with the particular cai

Dont.. A half way decent intake will run ya about 200-300 bucks.. They are NOT cold air intakes they are short ram intakes.. a true cold air intake picks the air up usually off the front air dam.... the ones you see with a cone filter and a tube only pick air up off the hot motor.. Even if you did buy one dont expect any gains in power.. your better off keeping the old air box that draws cool air off the pass fender and installing a K&N filter.. for a few hundred bucks more you can get a cat back exhaust that you will see at least some power gains.

Aem,cobb,injen,perrin. If you get a cai make sure u get it tuned if not its pointless
