I have a bet with my friend that electric cars can accelerate faster than gas cars. So far he's pointed out that the Bugatti Veyron can go 0-60 in 2.4 seconds, and the fastest electric car I've found is the Shelby SuperCars Aero EV, which can go 0-60 in 2.5 seconds. I'm sure there has to be a faster elctric car I can't find, because their torque is much higher and instantaneous compared to gas cars.
