My boyfriend has a 1980 something Buick LeSabre that he bought in May from someone on craigslist =/ The car was fine at first but my bf told me of times where he'd change gears from reverse to drive and the car would shut off. It still does that now, but he says it's getting kinda worse. He said yesterday that he put his foot on the gas and the car shut off. It worries me because we're supposed to be hanging out this weekend, he lives an hour & 20 mins from me and I want him to be alright in the car. What could possibly be the problem?

well for one I need more info. when was the last time it was tuned up? What does it do before it dies? does it bog down first or just cut out. Any extra info would be lovely
