We have two cars. A vectra that is financed and registered in my husbands name. And a peugeot 206 that is financed in the dad's name but registered in my name. We are trying to trade in both cars for one. My husband is getting a company van so we are trying to trade in both cars for one bigger one. The finance company apparently is saying that they wont take the 206 into the deal because it's not in my husbands name. Is this not just a case of paying off the loan on my father's behalf? The company in question are trying to get around it but in my opinion they sold the car knowing the arrangement re financing to my dad but me owning the car so why can't they sort it out when I want to trade it back? There is negative on both cars but they have told me that the numbers are not an issue as it is balancing out more or less. The problem seems to that the name on the 206 finance is my dads. The vectra is HP and the 206 is a personal loan.
thanks for your concern, but in these tough time, needs must! lol
