I would check with Tire.com and see what they have for your car....
the 225/45-17 are ...225 is (converting to inches) 8.86 inches, times 45%, equals 3.99 inches.. take that times 2 for top and bottom of tire, 7.98 and then add 17 inches for the wheel...you get. 24.97 inches tall wheel and tire...being 8.86 wide at the bulge.
the 245 is 9.65 inches, times 40% equals 3.86 inches, times 2 for top and bottom, 7.72..add the 17 to that and you get 24.72 inches high with a 9.65 wide bulge.
so the difference is pretty much the width at the bulge, being .79 or about 3/4 inch wider..with only 1/4 inch difference in height. Unless the wider tire would rub on the front fender, I see no problem...
But check with a tire shop, just to be sure.
