chevrolet has always been more collectible than gmc, this is a common misconception while an old car is cool unless there is a demand for that particular vehicle its not going to command the same price. As far as price guides go a mint condition chevy el camino in perfect condition could be 20 grand or more depending on what it is and the buyer. Some cars if out fitted from the factory with a rare big block, or say a special order that happened to have a rare factory options package, may go 40 percent or more in value above the going price. While the chevy is more collectible, the gmc is no slouch its still worth a nice piece of change to the right buyer. who always wanted one, and now can afford it.
